AkzoNobel gaat Axanzo heten na fusie met Axalta
AkzoNobel en Axalta hebben aangekondigd na de fusie als Axanzo door het leven te gaan. De geplande fusie die werd aangekondigd in november 2025 zal zal een wereldwijde marktleider in coatings creëren, met de schaal, slagkracht en het bereik om duurzame groei te versnellen en baanbrekende innovaties te realiseren.

Chris Villavarayan, CEO bij Axalta, die vicedirecteur van het gefuseerde bedrijf wordt, voegt toe: “Axanzo will continuously reset the standard of what coatings can do. The new name perfectly captures our shared ambition to push boundaries, honoring our heritage and offering an exciting glimpse of what’s to come.”
Zowel AkzoNobel als Axalta blijven tot aan de afronding van de fusie, die naar verwachting begin 2027 zal plaatsvinden, als zelfstandige ondernemingen opereren. Dit gebeurt zodra alle vereiste goedkeuringen van toezichthouders zijn verkregen en aan de gebruikelijke voorwaarden voor de afronding is voldaan.
